Cookies Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 1 October 2026 · Altren Group Pty Ltd ABN 32 700 087 332 trading as Altego · Melbourne, VIC
This policy explains what cookies are, how Altego uses them on altego.com.au and within the Altego platform, and what choices you have. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you are signed in. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags and local storage. Where this policy refers to cookies, it covers those too.
2. What we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies. Essential for the website and the platform to work. Without them, services you have asked for, such as signing in or keeping a session, cannot be provided. These do not require your consent and cannot be switched off. Examples: session authentication tokens, CSRF protection tokens, load-balancing cookies.
2.2 Analytics on the marketing website. We use first-party analytics on altego.com.au to understand traffic and improve content. The data is aggregated or de-identified and we do not identify individual visitors through it.
2.3 Bot protection on the contact form. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile may set a small number of cookies for that purpose.
2.4 Preference cookies. Where the platform remembers a choice you have made, such as a display setting, it may use a cookie to do so.
3. What we do not use
We do not use advertising, targeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers.
The product platform does not use cookies for behavioural tracking. Cookies in the platform are there to keep you signed in, to protect the session, and to remember a setting.
4. Third-party cookies
Apart from Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form, described above, we do not permit third parties to set cookies on our website for their own purposes. Where that changes, this page will say which third party, what it sets and why, before the change takes effect.
5. How long cookies last
Cookies are either session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period. Strictly necessary cookies are predominantly session-based. Analytics cookies on the marketing website persist for up to 13 months, which matches the retention period for website usage data in our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing your preferences
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their privacy or security settings. Refer to your browser's help documentation. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect your ability to use parts of the website or the platform, and blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation or our practices. The current version is always at altego.com.au/cookies. Material changes will be notified to subscribers.
