What we collect
Altren Group Pty Ltd, trading as Altego, collects the information a reporting entity provides to operate the platform: account and contact details, and the customer, transaction and screening data the entity enters or uploads to meet its own AML/CTF obligations. We also collect the usual technical information generated by using a website or a hosted application, such as log and device data.
Why we hold it
Data submitted through Altego is held so the platform can run monitoring, screening and reporting on the entity's behalf, and so the entity can meet its own record-keeping obligations under the AML/CTF Act 2006. We do not use reporting entity data for any purpose beyond operating the platform and providing support.
Cookies and analytics
The marketing website uses first-party analytics to understand traffic and improve content. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set. The product platform does not use cookies for behavioural tracking. The contact form on this website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script; Turnstile may set a small number of cookies for that purpose.
Identity verification
Where Altego performs electronic identity verification, it is carried out by GreenID under GreenID's own privacy and handling terms. Altego receives the verification result, not a copy of GreenID's underlying data holdings.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with the reporting entity's own screening and identity verification providers, with service providers bound by contract to protect it, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law, including to AUSTRAC.
Storage and retention
Data is hosted in Australia. Records subject to AML/CTF retention rules are retained for the periods those rules require and are not deleted on request while a retention obligation applies.
Access and correction
Access to customer and case data is role-based and logged. You can request access to, or correction of, personal information Altego holds by contacting hello@altego.com.au. Some requests may be limited where granting them would conflict with an AML/CTF record-keeping obligation.
Data breach notification
Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified on this page with an updated date.
